UCCFS is owned by all types of cooperatives in Uganda that comprise of the General Assembly which meets at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) to elect committees that report to them the affairs of the organization. The Board of Directors (BOD) is responsible for the strategic direction of UCCFS. The Supervisory Committee is the internal Audit unit that reports to the AGM. The Vetting Committee makes assessments and recommendations about individuals’ suitability to be on other committees in accordance with minimum standards set by the policies and guidelines. The Credit Committee ensures that lending guidelines and procedures are adhered to. The Chief Executive Officer (CEO), team leader of Management and staff are the professionals hired by the BOD run the day-to-day affairs of the organization.
